I like the end result so much (especially the pockets) that may keep it to myself, long sleeves et al.
Wonderful pattern but hard to make - a lot of boring cabling.
Used Rowan Hemp Tweed for the first time (my gauge was exactly the same as per pattern). About this yarn: it is soft and easy to work with, not itchy, but I had a knot (or two!) in almost every ball. Used 15 balls and a bit (for size Small 15 balls would be enough).
The pattern is extremely well written. Didn’t alter much, just sleeve increases: made the same amount of increases but more evenly distributed (in rows 3, 11, 17, 23, 27, 35, 43, 51, 59, 67, 75, and 83).
All decreases - in two sts before and after the selvage stitches (you’ll need them for seaming).
Ribbing on body and sleeves - 20 rows on US 3 needles.
Body till armholes - 86 rows on US 7 needles.
Collar - 40 rows, folded in half (to hide the zipper) and cast off in the pick up rows.
Used a regular sewing thread to sew the parts - otherwise it would look too bulky.
