Notes

This is an old sweater, made almost 12 years ago. I still use it but rarely: it isn’t warm enough to wear during cold winters yet too warm and bulky for fall or spring.
I bought the yarn together with the magazine from Phildar’s website. I followed the pattern with no modifications which I now regret.
The sleeves are too wide and long for me so it is impossible to wear without turning the cuffs up. The yarn has already stretched quite a bit and washing this garment became an ordeal so it would not stretch more.
I made it because at the time I really liked difficult designs with many unusual cables and this one was more than challenging.
I almost don’t wear it because when I do people look at my sweater more than at my face. It totally eclipses me and my poor ego is suffering. Plus, it makes me look like a polar bear. And I don’t want to look like a polar bear. Moreover, my esthetic preferences changed and now I’d rather make something practical and simple, with clean lines and a crisp silhouette.
Still, it was an interesting project to make.
