We knit our brim in CC rather than MC as called for in the pattern (our MC is white and CC is green). Doing this used up almost all of a ball, so we’d recommend a half-size swatch if you don’t want to unravel it later.

Our knitter noted how soft and light she found the yarn, but if you have trouble with yarn splitting, you may wish to use less-pointy needles.
