Notes

We were inspired by traditional colourwork motifs to reimagine the classic cowl for modern west coast
living. Knit in worsted weight yarn, and with three charts to chose from (trees, flowers, diamonds), this cowl is the perfect beginner colourwork project. The pattern starts with short floats then introduces a section of longer floats to practice catching the yarn.

Our sample used three balls of Estelle Highland Alpaca Worsted Tweed, two in #19 ‘Turquoise’ (MC) and one in #19 ‘Pumpkin’ (CC), and features the diamond motif. We love how the tweed neps add subtle texture to the design.
