To celebrate the launch of her book Rugged Knits, Beehive hosted a trunk show with Andrea Rangel. In conjunction with her visit, we also had a packed-to-the-rafters colourwork workshop. Thankfully, Andrea was able to accommodate the many requests to add more people to the class, because it was a huge hit!

“Boreal Toque” was the project that everyone made in the workshop, and so naturally, Beehive needed its own version of the hat for people to see in advance and to show to people who missed the trunk show.

Colourwork in Loft is a real treat, because the colours blend so beautifully together and create a stunning woolly fabric.

Nota bene: The hat is quite fitted. If you want a slouchy hat, you will likely need a second skein of your main colour.
