We love the speckles in the new hand-painted version of Vintage Baby! They make projects for little ones even sweeter and call to mind rainbow sprinkles and confetti.

This wee cardigan is a great way to show off these fun speckles, and we had fun contemplating the myriad possibilities for the contrast edging. We chose turquoise for ours, but you could go as bright or as muted as you please—this is a perfect opportunity to use up any scraps of Vintage DK or Vintage Baby you have on hand.

Our sample used two skeins of Berroco Vintage Baby Handpaint in Birthday Cake and a partial ball of Berroco Vintage Baby in Turquoise. The finished sample used up all of the two speckled skeins, but because it’s the same base, you can use your contrast colour to do your swatch if you like.
