Just in time for Easter! We whipped these adorable slippers up in a weekend. They are super simple and can be knit on straight or circular needles.

Knit flat, they utilize simple increases and decreases and are joined with whip stitch (no need for invisible seams, it all felts in).

These slippers do fit around a women’s shoe size 5, as the pattern indicates. If you wanted a smaller size, you could try using a felt-able worsted weight (such as Berroco Lanas)or DK yarn held singly with a smaller needle, depending on how small you’d like them to go.

We were inspired by Nutmouse’s project where they used pink for the inner ears, so we did the same! We knit 4 brown ears and 4 pink ears, then seamed the pink to the brown with mattress stitch before felting.

The pattern suggests hand felting the slippers but our knitter put them through a hot washing machine to get the process started and finished with a scrub in some hot, soapy water.
