We knit the “Mesa Rock” aran-weight version of the cowl.

This cowl is available as a kit from Beehive. The kit includes the yarn and our addendum. We cast on 124 stitches (instead of 144), and we omitted rounds 51-75.

There is plenty of the main colour left to work a fourth “stack” of six rounds of ribbing; however, you will run out of the contrast colour. When that happens, wind off a sufficient amount of yarn from the other end of the main colour ball and to a point that is an obvious contrast to the section of the main colour you’re currently knitting. Cut the yarn at this point and wind it into a second ball. Use these two balls of the divided main colour to continue the corrugated ribbing.
