Every knitter likely has a single special skein fingering weight yarn that is waiting for the perfect project. This pretty lace shawl in a one-skein project, and our special yarn is the Beehive exclusive Dunlin from The Small Bird Workshop. We love how woolly and light this shawl is. It is a perfect transitional accessory for our fickle west coast weather.

Our sample used one skein of The Small Bird Workshop Dunlin in Westwood. We used the entire skein and opted to omit the picot bind off. If you want the picots, make sure you save enough yarn for that final step, as picots use more yarn than an ordinary bind off.
