Shannon knit this wonderful version of Riverbend in only a week! This quick knit is a great way to get cozy fast, and the textured reverse stockinette shows off the rustic side of Quarry really well. She used Quarry for seaming (brave girl!) but noted that she had to add a lot of extra twist to give it strength and that she did felt together a break or two while seaming. Other options if you are making this and don’t want to risk pulling on the softly-spun yarn include twisting it up with some matching nylon thread or finding a worsted spun yarn in a matching colour way for the seams- be careful though, as the bulky stitches won’t hide a yarn that doesn’t match really well.
We used leather 1” buttons from our local fabric store, Gala, to finish. Shannon notes that while the width was perfect, in a future re-knit she might add some length to the body- if you have a long torso, consider using the extra yarn you will end up with to lengthen the body by an inch or two.
