We named all our kit colourways after gems and semi-precious stones. This cowl fills the role of a sparkling statement necklace and is perfect for holiday parties or for everyday wear.

Our sample used one ball of Drops Kid-Silk in Petrol and one ball of Lana Gatto Paillettes in Jade. There is enough yarn left over to make the cowl a bit longer—we had approximately 8g of the mohair and 6g of the Paillettes left over from our sample. If you want this extra length, we suggest adding to the first section (on the larger needle).

We used the Malachite colourway of our Shimmer Cowl kit for our sample. The different kit colourways use various lace-weight mohairs that have similar compositions and meterage.
