Springtime is here and it seems that all of the Covid babies are starting to arrive. We’ve got another perfect baby blanket project that will fly off of your needles in no time.

The mock cable on this project looks sophisticated and a bit complex but it is really just a clever use of yarnovers and decreases. You can impress your family and friends with this heirloom piece.

For the blanket we chose to use Berroco Ultra Wool Chunky which is 100% superwash wool. This makes it a great choice for parents who don’t feel up to handwashing (and let’s be honest- babies make messes!) Because we chose this yarn we decided to make gauge slightly tighter at 15sts, so the finished piece is a little smaller than indicated in the pattern.

Though we did this blanket up with babies in mind it certainly wouldn’t look out of place in any adult setting!
