The babies and children in our lives need stylish cardigans for spring and fall as much as we do, and Thirsty Rose is the perfect pattern with its mix of stockinette and garter stitch. It is extra squishy and soft in Big Merino.

Our sample used all of six balls of Drops Big Merino in Forget Me Not. We used every last bit of six balls including frogging and reusing our swatch, so we recommend buying seven balls to make the same size.

When we made a swatch for the garter portion, our gauge was a bit tighter than what the pattern calls for (18 sts over 10cm rather than 17 sts).
