Decided to make a 2nd blanket, but I’m off the rails on this one even more than the 1st one. I’m adding more height by doing sections of the moss stitch (sc, ch1, sk1) with the variegated yarn.

I am again working over 97 sts, not 121 as in the pattern.

Can’t remember the variegated colorway. Will update when I see the label. It’s got some yellow in it that I didn’t realize would be there. But it’s okay. I still like how it’s working up. Except I REALLY don’t like the color changes in the middle of the row. No matter how long I crochet, I don’t think I’ll ever accept that as ok.

Even with the Furl’s wide handle, I’ve added one of my squishy old lady tubes. I love it.

6/21/22 As of this morning, right after the chevron/wave stitch in part 3 (using a 4.5mm hook rather than the 5.5mm for this section), my blanket is measuring 17” tall.

6/22/22 morning: 22” tall.
Cranked a hat after work. 25 rows single layer on the Addi 46. Will crochet the brim with a 4mm hook on my vacation next week.

6/23/22 lunch break: 29” tall. Stopping here. All ends sewn in. Just need to decide on a border.

BORDER NOTES:
I have tried this border technique before, slip stitching around the sides before working the border rounds, but have forgotten about it. I ran across it in a Raveler’s project for another blanket.

6/24/22 All done except for adding tag and getting nice photos. My pinks look too orange. And I also cranked a single-layer knitted hat, but I still need to crochet the brim (4mm hook).

Final weight after packaging with 6” x 6” hat: 18 oz
