EDGE/BORDER
I followed the directions from the pattern for the first round (i.e., sc around). The second round was hdc (to add more to the length and width). I added more rounds of sc in the other colors to tie in the colors of the applique. Just a note, the subsequent rounds of the border (after the first) are a little bit “do what works” … so sometimes I skipped 2 stitches in the valley, sometimes 1, and sometimes I added 3 stitches to the peak, sometimes 2.

APPLIQUE

• Used an E hook (not an F) on the applique to make it smaller. Could even have gone with a D on this size blanket.
