• One blanket completely finished in a day, and 2nd one started and completed through 3rd color. Also started the first unicorn. (bottom photo)
• Second blanket would have been completely finished on the drive back from Oregon, but I had to drive the last three hours. Had the scallop border started before I had to take over driving.
• Turned at the end of each row to prevent leaning.
• First unicorn made with F hook; striped belly, pink hearts on feet.
• Second unicorn made with E hook, solid pink belly, pink hearts on feet.
• Border: one round of white granny stitches. One round of scallops (5 dc, sk 1, sc in next, sk 1, repeat). Should maybe have slst instead of sc between scallops.
• Scallops in corner stitches
• I love making these rainbow blankets. They are so fast and satisfying.
• What I don’t love, what isn’t fast and satisfying, are the unicorn appliques. I have made so many but somehow I keep forgetting how long they take.
