Started on lunch break, got though 16 vertical rows. Starting ch 39.
Finished through the seam and weaving yarn around the bottom to close once it’s stuffed. If I have stuffing upstairs, I don’t know what I’ve done with it. I suspect I used the last of it on my last project. Just have to remember to bring some up and also find the cinnamon sticks and get some covered wire.

Was able to pick up cinnamon sticks from Hobby Lobby, but they either hadn’t gotten or hadn’t put out the brown covered wire.

Finally got it stuffed. Still need to get the brown covered wire, or maybe I’ll just use twine. I would like to try scoring the cinnamon sticks before trying to cut them down to size so there’s less breakage. Also, in another pattern, the designer used 2 cinnamon sticks as the stem, and I like that look, especially with the thinner sticks.

HL still doesn’t have the brown covered wire in stock. I may go a different direction. Not sure.

Alex cut the stick that I’ve been saving for YEARS into ~2” pieces, and I love this look!

Second one made with 2 strands of worsted weight and a 6.5mm hook to get an extra large size.
I took more photos of it in progress because it’s such a cool and clever pattern the way it starts as a MR and then switches to rows.
For the stem, for something different, I used this thick rope-like thing cut into short pieces and then hot-glued together. I’d actually like it to be shorter, but it’s kind of hard to cut now that it’s attached.
Just like the other one, it’s stuffed with polyfill and yarn bits.
