I was able to get one arm finished and another one started after dropping pkgs off at the post office on my lunch break. I don’t have stuffing with me, and I think I might like the arm paws unstuffed. We’ll see. I didn’t permanently fasten off yet.
I admire people who can use small hooks with this giant yarn. I can’t imagine using anything smaller than I am, especially not what the pattern calls for.
Just a note: I used a ch 2 instead of a mc and I was able to start with 5 sc then inc to 10 without it turning into a weird cone shape.
Arms: 6” long
Ears: 7” long x 3 3/4” wide
Noticed that 15 was used twice, so the round counts are off by one after that.

As of this morning before work, I got through the round with the eye spot. I need to attach safety eyes, but ran out of time. I’m bummed because I wanted to work on it on my lunch break, but I couldn’t manage to gather all the supplies I needed and still make it to work by 9.
He is 13.5” tall at this point. I’ve used yarn clippings and polyfil for the stuffing.
After work: got the 18mm eyes glued in.

Not sure why my puppy looks so much like a bunny. I think I’m going to frog all the way back to the ears, then redo them smaller.
With a quick search, I found these simple ears by Nikkii’s Cute Crochet on YT which might work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fh2xUtCctdA
Or these: https://www.thefriendlyredfox.com/free-crochet-puppy-snug...

It has occurred to me that maybe it’s the nose that’s the easiest fix. I’ll follow this YouTube by Spreeberry using chunky or blanket yarn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igMmInJ6Eow

I added a tail and a “gold” tag to the front of the collar, all in an effort to make it look like a dog instead of a rabbit. lol
