Super fun to make. Even though it takes longer to work it up with a single strand, it won’t be as heavy as my Supreme Beanie Knockoffs (project here).
I am going through both loops in the first and last sts of each row.
For the crown, I’m either slst’g or single crocheting using yarn under on the 5 sts at that end.
UPDATE 10/16/25
I’ve finished two at the point and started two others.
10/20/25
Hat #1 fits Alex pretty well. 52 sts / 12.5” is too long. 3.87 oz / 205 yards
Forgot to measure before seaming. Flat after join is 10” wide. I’m counting 49 rows.
Hat #2 11.25” long and about 19” wide before seaming. It fits me nicely. 3.6 oz / 191 yards
Hat #3 bright colors: ~48 sts so it matches the size of Hat #2. Finished: 13” tall x 9” wide. 3.69 oz. / 196 yards
Hat #4 started before bed with 48 foundation hdc, neutral colors like gray, cream, brown, tan, etc.
Finished: 12” tall x 9.25” wide. 3.72 oz. / 198 yards
