Notes

Starting chain #: 99 (31 1/2”); worked up to be 32”. Should have started with 95 or 97 instead for 30”.
Held two strands together throughout using 3 colors for the ombre effect.
Not listed in pattern: beginning chain should be multiple of 3 + 8 (I think) (waiting to hear back from designer).
Beginning chain with K 6.5mm
Blanket with J 6mm
Starting chain 99 = 31 puff stitches per row
Had a hard time telling where to put the puff stitches after the first row. Must’ve just been me, because no one else mentioned it.
replaced ch. 4 at beginning of rows with alt-tc
Since there’s no border, I can’t use the magic knot. But I worked the tails into the first stitch of the alt-tc, then tied the ends, and sewed them in
Yarn brand might be Love of Knitting, not Main Street
Super heavy, almost like a weighted blanket. Almost 2 1/2 pounds.
NOT recommended as a newborn blanket. Would be better as a toddler lap blanket.
