07/04/2012 - Cast on with size 6 needles, pattern calls for a 7, but since I knit rather loosely, this weight looked better with a smaller needle. Gauge of course is not really an issue with this baby blanket.

07/05/2012 - Love, love, love this very easy pattern. So easy to memorize, and what lovely results.

7/15 - Forgot to mention I carried the yarn up the side, didn’t want a gazillion ends to secure.

7/25 - Blanket finished, now just need to work on the side borders. I chose to use a seed stitch at the two ends instead of the garter, so of course, I’ll pick up stitches and complete in seed stitch as well.

7/27 Blocking now! Lovely!! Vey happy with the end result. Baby due in about a month, so perfect timing!

Note: When picking up stitches, do not pick up every row…spread out if you don’t want a “ruffled” border.
