Even though I was a good girl and did a gauge swatch (and washed it!) the swatch lied. I tightened up once I got to knitting the actual mitt. It’s too small for me. It’s even too small for my sister, but it fits mom just right. I have to reknit the thumb though, because as if the gauge on the hand wasn’t tight enough, I managed to knit the thumb even tighter and it’s too small even for my mother’s tiny fingers.

Well, I went to block these, and after a soak one glove is noticeably bigger than the other. I stuck the smaller one on a hand blocker to see if I can block some sense into it, but at this point I have no idea whose hands these are going to fit once they’re dry.

They still fit mom! One is a bit longer and the other is a bit wider, but mom says they feel about the same.
