After finishing my Babette Blanket, I had a ton of extra yarn left over. So I decided to make some striped pillows that used the same colors that I used to use as throw pillows!

I plan to make a set of two for now, i might make a third depending on how much leftover yarn I have.

4/6: completed the first pillow! I have to say that I like how it turned out. While stuffing it, Olivia (my two year old cousin) wanted a “peelow” of her own so I’m going to make a small one for her. :)

4/18: half way through making the green, pink and tan pillow for Olivia. Using more scrap balls that I found in my mom’s stash and my own (Sport weight red heart yarn and some simply soft). I really love how saturated it’s coming out and I can’t help but smile when Olivia checks on how I’m doing and says how excited she is for her own pillow.

4/29: Finished Olivia’s pillow late Thursday night while watching the office. The next morning Olivia saw her finished pillow resting on her chair and she got so excited. Every time she sees me, she thanks me for her pillow and gives it a huge hug. Mission accomplished for sure. :P

5/2: Back to being selfish! I cast on the first two squares of the second pillow I want for myself. The first side is looking to be blues and greens, no neutral colors so far. The other side will be some of my scrap neutral colors with pops of color (I am definitely not going to do the every other two rows switch a color…way too many ends to weave in.)
