Have used the view from the top of Eaval on North Uist as inspiration for this design, using wool from Uist Wool and Alice Starmore’s Hebridean 2ply.

To switch from cardigan to jumper, I cast on the next size up, minus the steek stitches. Just before starting the yoke, I just made sure I had enough stitches for the pattern repeat and knit the full yoke.

This has been such an interesting and rewarding knit. I wasn’t sure the softer colours would go together but they do and I absolutely love the texture that the purl stitches give to the yoke. It’s a brilliant design and this is now one of my favourite sweaters.
