I wanted the brim to be a bit longer and wider at the edge so after rib:

In light blue:
Rounds 1-8; Knit
Round 9; K12, M1, repeat around (130 st.)
Rounds 10-17; Knit
Round 18; Purl
New dark blue:
Rounds 1-8; Knit
Round 9; K 11, K2tog, repeat around (120 st.)
Rounds 10-17; Knit
Round 18; K2, K2tog around (90 st.)

Instead of rib, I knit one repeat of my Across The Earth Möbius color pattern to match my cowl. (I had to decrease 2 st for color pattern but I increased them back afterward.)

Continued pattern rounds and Crown decreases with straight stockinette.
