1/28/11: cast on the no-purl version of monkey socks on kollage sz 1 square dpns. I am SO MUCH HAPPIER with them this way. For one thing, after several repeats, the socks fit better than the old version, which were too big, and for another, I like the fabric of the no-purl version better. I think this will be a winner for me. Updates as I go.

2/6/11: Consoled myself after the Steelers loss in the Super Bowl by finishing the first no-purl monkey sock. I like it much better than the first time I tried these. A bit worried about how much yarn is left for a 2nd sock but I weighed it and it appears to be more than half the skein, so I guess I’ll go for it and see what happens.
