Notes

For my records:

Can use sz 1 kollage though used sz 2 for this pair.

  • Heel flap is 32 rows total

  • Heel gusset area is 17, not 16, due to picking up an extra stitch

  • Instep area is 22 rows

  • foot is 36+1

  • Toe is 16 rows

I heart the simple skyp pattern so much that I want a pair for myself. Seems the Moose Tracks yarn is the perfect yarn to do such a pattern with. Using sz 2 kollage square dpns.

1/17/11: So I finished the first sock and am about 1/3 done with the 2nd sock, and I realized I probably could go down even one more needle size if I wanted to. The first sock fits nicely, but maybe not quite as snugly as I would like it to. No big deal, but wanted to note that here if I do the simple skyp pattern again. The Phouka sock yarn seems to make a really solid knit - maybe not as soft and squisy as I would like but I think these socks will be hard-wearing and warm, which is good in Pittsburgh in wintertime.

1/23/11: Finished after the Steeler win against the Jets. Hey, it felt celebratory to me. :)
