I’ve been wanting to make the Trilobite Socks for AGES, now. I picked up some interesting Mmmmmmmalabrigo and then made myself wait til I finished some other stuff. I can’t take it anymore - they’re cast on! :)

The Crustaceans name is because the last pair of socks I knit out of Wendy’s book was with Crabby McHappypants yarn - I see a trend for small armored species referenced in my socks.

I’m trying to figure out how the same skein of yarn, divided in two, gave me two different colored socks, though. Not horribly different and it’s actually kind of charming, but I’m still confused.

Update 2/22: Welp, they’re done! And yep, they’re different colors! I am so confused by this, but I still like them. Can’t believe I cast them on about a year ago, though. Talk about neglecting my own knitting for too long! Glad they’re done and I can enjoy them for the last bits of winter.
