I tried not to start another little boopy fox yet, but was suffering from withdrawal symptoms and my fingers picked some more colours and started while I wasn’t looking.
The Maya is gorgeous! I love the colours, so… I bought all of the potential foxy shades just to have at the ready, and… you know the rest.
Plus, everyone wanted one, possibly for Christmas, if they had to wait that long.
Foxy Winter Jumper: I followed the pattern for the boy’s jumper (sweater), but added my own cables. And made it a little longer (which doesn’t necessarily look better and I wouldn’t again)(actually I changed my mind, I like it). The yarn is a mixture of Morris & Son’s Empire 2ply in eggshell, and a funny little grey fleck I found somewhere. I think it’s a funny animal hair?? It’s super soft, but has very thin, black hairs that made me think my own hair was getting caught (as it does), but finer, and soft. Someone suggested Samoyed, and I have a vague memory of something like that??? Or poodle? Cat?
The buttons are really old and quite special! Shell.
Foxy is finished (or will be by the time I travel to work in the train for an hour).
So pretty. I can’t go on too much about this pattern! Lovely pattern.
I have made both the boys and the girls outfits for this little Petal. Now I need a name that suits a boy or girl…
My friend Jo Jo thought some pink mohair panties would be cute and so they are! Although she looks cute with long bare baby legs too.
Makes me think of grade 5 Wandin Yallock Primary School when knicker-bockers were just brilliant things to wear.
