I forgot to up my hook size to 5.5mm because for some reason I thought it was to be upped at the end of Part 4 ooops… but my gauge is pretty even so the centre didn’t buckle. It just looks a little stretched compared with the tighter sc rounds.

I had to frog round 59 which “cost” me 1.5 hrs… all because I didn’t read the pattern properly and assumed what was going to happen. Instead of 8dc I had 12dc for the base of my large flower on the short side.
I also had to do some “crochet surgery” as I missed a scallop on the end of a side so I lost another half hour.

Another round needed frogging, Round 65. Again I assumed what was happening in the pattern and only missed one 2ch space instead of two so I ended up with twice as many stems.

I ran out of the colour I was using in Round 89 and I don’t want to buy more as the whole idea is to use up my stash. So I had to frog back most of the round losing about an hour. I’ll add a similar colour in two sections on opposing side… hope it works.

Round 120 (repeat of round 65) the math didn’t work out so I had to spend half an hour working out where to place the leaves on my long sides so I would end up with 22 ruffle flowers in the next round. This has proved to be the hardest round to get my head around as I had issues with it the first time too.

Still going with Sohpie but I’m also making Ubuntu which is taking priority so I can keep up with the CAL. I’ve only got Betty’s Beautiful Border to go now, it just takes soo long to get around now.

Sophie is technically finished now. I have completed Betty’s Beautiful Border with my scrap bits and pieces in a rainbow order to suit her Bright colours, now I just have A LOT of ends to weave in from all the colour changing… and done just in time before it’s officially Summer in 4 days!!

Officially Finished my largest project to-date.
All tails woven in.
So proud I made it to the end and love the pattern, so well written.
My colour choices look great in small sections, but it kinda hits you in the face when you step back to see it as a whole. Might try a more subdued colour scheme next time… plus I have a few ideas of a different way to grow Sophie so it’s not so Huge but still fits over a Queen bed.
