Working notes

Cast on 56 st. 2x2 rib for 14 rows then continue in st.st. to row 56. Begin heel. 28 rows heel=14 slip stitches. Pick up 15 st on gusset and decrease even rows until row 18 = 56 st. Continue in st.st. to 8.5 inches from heel, then begin toe decrease.
