A raglan sleeve cardigan with pockets from a vintage Patons pattern booklet Style Knits. All the paterns in the booklet are named after ships that sailed to Australia at the time, this is named for the Matson liner Mariposa that sailed between San Francisco and Sydney.

For the button holes I used the “manly buttonholes” technique in Bruce Weinstein’s Knits men want.
