My school had a “Fine Arts” night, and though I’m not a Fine Arts teacher, the Art Teacher insisted that I demonstrate Saori Weaving and represent Japan.

We decided that we would create a school banner with the help of our students and staff. We selected yarns that represented out school colors (blue and green). We wanted a wide range of textures, so we have everything from boucle to eyelash to roving and a bunch of relatively tame yarns as well. Plucked quite a few out of my “leftovers” bin and out of the donations for my school knitting group.

Warped loom with various yarns. Started with Lamb’s Pride then realized I’d run out. Continued with cone of yarn left over from a class I’d taken. Got tired of that. Added some sparkly green. Went back to my other ball of the Lamb’s Pride.
