Oh my, this has to be the most satisfying and enjoyable project I’ve done so far! I’m thrilled to bits with how it’s turned out and will be making many more. A big THANK YOU to Julianne for sharing her cleverly thought out pattern.

I used Malabrigo Worsted and was surprised that there was a fair bit left over from the one skein (see pic 3), so worry not, loose knitters. Mine measured 20” in circumference, the same as Julianne’s.

As a beginner I was daunted by the three new techniques that this pattern involves: provisional cast-on, cables and Kitchener stitch. YouTube was a great help, however, and I’m including links to the three videos I found the most helpful:

31/12/14 I’ve just finished my second cowl, this time using the same yarn in ‘Paris Night’. I have to say that Malabrigo Worsted is the perfect yarn for this pattern - I’ve tried it with several other yarns but it’s never quite as successful. Shame it’s not machine washable.
