Notes

Gosh, I love this cowl. It’s so arrangeable and looks different every time I wear it. I love that it’s reversible - in the swivelly-back-to-front sense rather than the inside-out sense. I used 3 skeins of black and 2 of charcoal, and a quick swivel rings the changes between the two colours. The red ‘accent’ edging is simply a 3-needle bind off.

The pattern calls for stocking stitch, but I used the stitch I’d seen in another pattern and it works well here, with the added advantage of no curly-wurlies. If it has a name, would you comment please? It’s one row 1x1 rib and the next row purl, repeated throughout.

A big ‘thank you’ to the lovely waitress in my favourite cafe, who kindly agreed to model my cowl.
