It’s been more than a year since Sarah talked me into a sweater, so I’m finally officially starting the project. There were some sleeve tests before Xmas that ultimately got frogged, so they don’t count.
The MC was purchased from MoHefti waaaay back in September, and luckily my sister didn’t use any before I picked it up from her in the States. I don’t think I’ll need all of it for this sweater, but we’ll see.

So far so good - the sleeves are halfway to my elbows! I’m really enjoying two-at-a-time, too! I got a little tangled with two different colours at the cuffs, but it was only for a few rows and my SO was able to help me out of the mess. Hopefully the yoke won’t be so bad since it’ll just be the one.
I’m also thinking of doing the cuff pattern across the bottom of the body, too. Just for a little more interest, and because I have three balls of Noro. We’ll see what happens when we get there.

I’m done with the increases for the sleeves! They’re past my elbows now, so all I have to do is make them the right length. I’m still really excited about the whole project and am really enjoying the pattern. I reworked the actual PDF to a) print on three sides instead of six, and b) to include sweater instructions where they’re needed instead of just at the end. I’ll be sending my ideas back to the author soon, too.

aaaaaa sleeves are done!!! This is so exciting! (I might even start making socks again after this; I love two-at-a-time so much!)
Have cast on the ribbing for the body of the sweater, but it looks a little small…

I powered through the ribbing, and decided it was fine - it totally stretched enough to climb into it, so let’s see how this goes!
I’ve decided to add another round of the sleeve colourwork (“motif A”) around the bottom, above the ribbing, just like on the sleeves. It fits perfectly for the size I’m knitting, which called for working 9 rounds in st st. I did two, then the six of motif A, then one more before starting the Shaping decreases.
It looks fab.
