I finished the second ruffle, which I did completely differently. I blocked the project (without working in ends) to see which I liked better.

I’m not crazy about the garter ruffle, but it’s better than my version. I’m going to undo the second ruffle, and probably take out the white stripes as well, and redo it according to the pattern.

(When I added the white stripes, I forgot that I was going to overdye the final project. The white stripes won’t work with what I’m thinking.)

Notes on alternate ruffle:
(K5, P5) across.
Every other round, increase 1 st in each knit or purl section, until there are 10 sts in each section.
Bind off in the opposite st. (I.e. purl bindoff over knit sts, and knit bindoff over purl sts.)

The knitting is done.

I still plan to dye it. I’d like to try some of the twisted resist dyeing everybody’s doing on skeins, but on the full scarf.

Ok, so it’s still not overdyed. Maybe one day but in the meantime I wear it.
