PATTERN
This knit goes fast. It’s relaxing and never boring.
The pattern is easy to remember. For stripes section, I just have to know how many C2 rows I need and same for YOs section.
For peace of mind and to avoid being out of stitch count, you might want to place a marker after the first two stitches (beginning of the row) and a second one before WT (according to the number of stitches before WT as written in the pattern). It helps a lot!

Used German short rows instead of wrap and turns.
Count one stitch less before WT (2 sts before WT -> 1 sts before WT with German short rows))
DESIGN
This is my very first shawl. I wanted something light, who doesn’t look like a winter shawl. White & teal stripes are perfect as they bring a sailor style.
YARN
2 skeins of each color stashed.
I’ve chosen socks yarn (80% wool + 20% polyamide).
As I never knitted socks yarn before, I hope it will be soft on the skin.

March 25, 2019 - FIRST SECTION
Love the stripes, it’s very addictive
At the beginning I’ve had a hard time figuring out how to alternate both colors. The side where every row starts was really messy. I had to unravel the first 12 rows straight, three or four times to get a clean alternation (white stitch on the side for white row / blue stitch on the side for blue row)
Thanks to knitters on Youtube, now I’ve got the trick!
April 3, 2019 - SECOND SECTION
Just finished the stripes section.
For the next one, I’ve chosen to replace WT with German short rows.
I had to unravel several rows because I had forgotten one increase. To avoid this, I’ve placed a marker after the first two stitches.
April 7, 2019 - THIRD SECTION
Just started long stripes section. I like staggered C1 rows who bring movement to the whole thing.
