Notes

6/03/2010 - It took me 5 weeks to do the last point on the border! new babies really do cut into knitting time :D I’ll block it today and I can’t wait.

12/11/09 - Just finished blocking the main shawl. I can’t decide whether to do the border or not. I think it looks nice like this so I’m tempted to leave it (I’ll put a little picot or something on it maybe). hmmm.

I prefer to make square shawls from the centre out but the charts I’d like to use (from the christening robe) are knit from the bottom up so I would have to reverse them. I’ve done a small swatch of the simplest motif and it doesn’t really work upside down (i tried it a couple of ways) so it looks like I’ll have to go border inwards.
