Notes

This scarf is for my step-mom who is quite petite. I wanted to make the scarf a bit smaller so that it looked like she was wearing the scarf and not the other way around. ;o) To do this, I narrowed the length of the color band along the outer edge and I finished off the length after 80 color blocks.

Total # of sts in row is 36. Outer color band = 8 sts. I used the icord edge treatment as Loralee suggested (k to last 2 sts, yarn to front, slip 2) on both sides.

Tip #1 for row 9: when you come to color gap, cross color B over A and continue your next stitch with color A. Gently pull color B snug and your gap is sealed.

Tip #2 for row 9: to avoid unwanted color carry over on your first created w&t (last one on row 9) separate the wrap so it appears as two individual stitches, then knit together.

Placement of w&t’s according to original instructions except for row 11. Place w&t after stitch #7. Continue knitting as usual.

I did pick up the wrapped stitches.
