Notes

such a sweet pattern.

I made feelers for my butterflies by threading the ends (from sewing the butterfly in place) through to the inside of the mitten at the top of the butterfy’s head and knotting very loosely - leaving little loops held in place on the right side.

As always I opened out the pattern (because I hate knitting in the round) cast on 43 stitches (an extra one to allow for seaming) and put the shaping for the thumb in the middle of the work. Seamed afterwards using mattress stitch with the cast-on and cast-off ends for sewing up and knotting together half way up.
