It was love at first sight when I saw Solveig’s gorgeous blanket but at the time I was all cack-handed on the crochet front. Now I’ve got a few crochet projects under my belt and I feel ready to take on a bit of a challenge. I’m going to take it slow and steady, just doing one square at the end of each day and as I work on each one I’ll be mulling over the day’s good bits.

August 2011:
7 colours in lots of different combinations although I didn’t end up exhausting all of the possible colour combos as some were really horrible - the green, dark blue and purple together were yuck! So I did end up repeating a few of the nicer combinations.

In total around 2 balls of each colour used - I’m not sure how many of the cream - around 6 I think but will weigh the blankie and do the math from there.

12 x 15 squares = 180 in total
