Came across the skirt in the photo which made me think of a young friend, brought it home then decided it needed a little topper.
Much thanks to Lois at Allyn Knit. She went right to the perfect yarn and in a color I hadn’t even looked at. Also encouragement and a couple points to think about.
Then came the search for a good stitch pattern which I found right in my computer in this pattern for a baby blanket which I had saved quite a while ago.
Then trying to decide how to work it up. Started top down, frogged and worked bottom up, separating for back/sides.
Decided I didn’t want sleeveless, so increased to cover shoulders (and I hope they don’t stick out in little points). The only seam is at the shoulders - bottom photo.
Overall, I’m happy with it - hope she will be also.
