Used magic circle start and dani0010’s modifications of 24 st to start with 5 dc in corners. Also, per someone else’s mods, I turned and worked rows, rather than rounds.

Can’t say what mm the hook is, one of the old Boye’s with only letter designation. Got gauge of 16 dc x 9 rows to 4”.

I worked hexagons to length I was happy with for sleeves (11 rows), chose and marked fronts, then did 3 rows sc for cuffs, dec first 2 rows. I then did did one row on the sides I’d chosen for the backs, bottoms and fronts, plus one extra row on front for the buttonhole band. Joined the backs by working a row and picking up the back loop of corresponding stitch in other hexagon. I’m fairly pleased with that, best I could think of at time, tho it’s still noticeable.

I didn’t do the collar over the buttonhole band.

I made this rather large because I wanted him to be able to wear it for awhile. What I’d made his cousin turned out so small that he could only wear it a couple times.

Finished dimensions:
cuff to cuff - 25 1/2” across
underarms - 11 1/2”
collar width - 2 1/2”
underarm length - 7 1/2”
neck to bottom - 12 3/4”
neck to collar - 14 1/4”

When done, I tossed in washer, gentle cycle, then dryer for short time and finished drying by laying flat. Looked good, so should hold up to busy with baby household.
