Notes

Finally finished! 100% alpaca was probably not the best choice as it tends to stretch and lose it’s shape. But I’m pleased with the result. The pattern is well-writen and easy to follow.

I had to modify the pattern only because I grabbed a cheap vial of beads at Walmart and after discarding the misshapen/sm hole ones I knew there wouldn’t be enough for 2 gloves.

So, I began the pattern on rnd 6 and ended it with rnd 16. The beading looks like a set of little Christmas trees--really very pretty!

The cuff fits my wrist but is a little snug getting over my knuckles so I frogged it and added an extra rep. I also knit the odd rows and only purled the sts bracketing the beads.

This is my first beaded project using the slip stitch method. I wanted to practise before using the Capra I set aside for this project and have ordered better quality beads online. I’ll finish this pair and make the complete pattern when the beads arrive.
