Notes

My first ADULT sweater is done!

Got st gauge on #7 but the best I could do on the rows was 26S. Added a few rows without inc just before sleeve divide but it still would have too binding for the original recipient. Luckily it fit my sil comfortably so I went ahead.

After 2 Starboards I was comfortable with this pattern. It’s easy to understand and use. The row gauge does seem tight compared to other patterns using this wgt yarn.
Still not happy with my short rows though…

The only minor mods were for sil’s preferences:

  • Sleeves: 3/4 length with a rolled cuff.
  • Neckline: p/u 3 of 4 sts to tighten up neckline and used rolled edge rather than garter.

Gauge: 5S x 6R per 1”
bust: 38”, hips (hem): 44”, arm circ: 11.5”, shoulder to underarm 7”, neck opening: 8”, underarm to hem: 17”, total length (CB) 25”

Will post photos when dry.
