Just a cozy for the new reading lamp of my father and a case for his mobile phone.

Phone case (5.5 cm*10 cm):

• R0: 13 chain (ch) stitches with the black cotton.
• R1: single crochet (sc) stitches on the two sides with three sc on the extremity stitches (28 sc in total).
• R2 to R8: sc in each stitches (without any slip stitch).
• R9 (green): Change to green cotton, (1 sc, 1 ch, skip a sc) repeat, finish with one sl st on the first sc of the row.
• R10: Change to black cotton, (Two sc in the ch of previous row, skip sc) repeat.
• R11 to R17: same like R2 to R8
• R18 (green): same like R9
• R19: same like R10
• R20 to R26: same like R2 to R8
• R27 (green): same like R9
• R28: same like R10

Now the flap:

• R29 to R34: Only crochet the first 14 sc with one ch when turning.
• Sew your button between row 19 and row 20
• R35: 6 sc, 9 ch (depend on the size of your button), skip 2 sc of row R34, 6 sc.
• R36 (green): change to green cotton, sc all around the flap (with 3sc in the two corners) and the last 14 sc of row R28, sl st at the end.
• Weave in the ends.

Lamp cosy
Same pattern for the lamp cosy, just more chain stitches to work with and the flap is a bit longer.
