You’ll notice it’s not a wrap.
The wrap part ended up looking terrible (my yarn was thicker, so the 50 inches of wrap ended up looking like and inner tube around my waist - ew). So i frogged it and redesigned the pattern to give it a cabled shawl collar.

I did the math on the cable repeat and then just picked up stitches around the sides and neckline, then did the same cable pattern that’s at the waistline of the piece. I did make sure to have an even number so that they lined up, and I twisted the cables up one side and then up the other, so they were mirror images, similar to the other cable sections of the pattern.

I’m not convinced about the way it lies around the neckline, but the rest of it I like. We shall see how it looks after blocking.

Overall, it’s a MUCH more flattering version.

I’m also not sure how to close it. I eschewed buttons, maybe for a clasp at the waist, or a set of frogs. But maybe it can just hang open.

It knit up super fast (I think I cast on a week ago?), and is very cozy. Just the thing to throw on for an added layer of warmth.
