My brother is a climber, so I thought it would be fun to knit him a chalk bag.

it was really simple, just a flat circle, then a purl ridge to turn the corner, then stockinette up the sides until a YO/K2TOG row for the cord pull, then up to the top and another purl ridge to turn the corner.
Finished the top hem around a plastic circle so the bag would stay open while he climbs, and added an icord drawstring.
Lined it with fleece so the chalk wouldn’t slip out of the knit fabric.

A little intarsia for his initials to personalize it, and voila!
