The gauge of my yarn was entirely too off from the project… I ended up just knitting a piece that was roughly inspired by this pattern.

I knit it in the round instead of flat, and with a number of stitches based on the measurements I wanted, rather than what the pattern called for.

Also did a 3 needle bind off on the shoulders, to further minimize finishing.

If I were to do this again (possible, I might like to make one for me - this was a Christmas Knit) I would do the same changes.
